RIP Ricky Jaros.
He was 22 and knew what being the life of the party was all about. He was funny, caring, outgoing and friendly and he knew exactly how to put a smile on your face.
His funeral was yesterday. It was amazing to see how many lives he touched, and to have them all gathered together to celebrate his life. The funeral home was at capacity. Literally. There was not one more inch to squeeze someone else in. They flowed from the chapel into the entrance and out the door. We all stood together. We all cried. And we all knew whichever way we turned, we had a shoulder to lean on.
His was definitely a life lost far too soon.
Let this be a lesson to everyone. Don't drive drunk. Just because you don't value your life, maybe the person sitting next to you, or in the car you're headed straight for does. Think about that.
