Does someone need to vacuum or what?!

In case you missed my Dear 2013, post - one of my New Years Resolutions was to quit smoking. Well, today is officially 2 weeks of being a non-smoker. I'm pretty darn impressed with myself. It hasn't been nearly as difficult as I expected. The true test will be this Saturday, though. I'm going out for a girls night and it'll be my first alcoholic beverage since quitting and any smoker knows that nothing goes together better than a beer and a cig. I'm pretty confident I'll make it through, though. Since quitting I've also decided that I'm going to get back into running and what better way to start that off than training for a 5k? Me and my besty Jessica are going to do the Color Run in June! I used to be in love with running - it was the best thing on earth. I clearly found new hobbies, but I'm hoping to rediscover the special place it once had in my heart.

I just heard this song Thrift Shop by Macklemore - anybody heard it? Apparently it's on the radio now and everything but I thought it was just a reallllly good Youtube video. My friend actually sent it to me and has since nicknamed me Macklemore due to my love of thrifting. I seriously related to this song - $50 for a shirt?! B**** please! I'd rather head down to my local Goodwill!

  6. That's so exciting girl!! My mom has been a smoker since she was 14 and she's now 56. She is also in the process of quitting and she's been doing amazingly well. I know you can do it. If you ever need support or anything, let me know. I always try to support people trying to quit smoking!! :)

Love your top! And can't wait to see you do your 5K as well! <3

    1. Sounds like my mom - except she's not trying to quit! I figured for me, it was better now than never - especially seeing the health issues it causes for my mom. Thanks for your support! It's been 18 days so far and still counting! :)

  7. Congratulations on quitting smoking! Both my parents were smokers and my mom quitted when she had kids and my dad hasn't been smoking for years. Whenever you get the urge just think of all the other people who have been successful at quitting! As time goes on it will no longer be a temptation. Now on to the outfit! Beautiful look and I adore those butgandy trousers. They look fab on you!
